Privacy Policy

The short version

Inkling does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Period. The app runs entirely on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.

What data does Inkling collect?

None.

Inkling is a 100% on-device application. All processing, including AI-powered responses (Apple Intelligence), speech recognition, text-to-speech, and interaction history, happens locally on your iPhone or iPad.

No data leaves your device. Ever.

Accounts and sign-in

Inkling does not require or support user accounts. There is no sign-in, no email collection, and no user registration of any kind.

Analytics and tracking

Inkling contains no analytics frameworks, no tracking pixels, no crash reporting SDKs, and no third-party code of any kind. We do not use Apple’s App Analytics or any other analytics service.

Advertising

Inkling contains no ads and no advertising frameworks. We do not participate in any advertising networks.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Inkling is designed for users of all ages, including children under 13. Because the app collects zero data, it is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by architecture. There is simply no data to collect, store, or share.

The app contains no links to external websites without a parental gate, no social features, and no way for a child to share personal information.

Data stored on your device

Inkling stores interaction history and preferences locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data is:

• Stored only on your device
• Never transmitted anywhere
• Automatically included in your iCloud backup if you have device backups enabled
• Deleted when you delete the app

Apple Intelligence

Inkling uses Apple’s on-device FoundationModels framework for AI-powered features. All AI processing runs locally on your device. No prompts, responses, or conversation data are sent to Apple or any third party.

Speech recognition

Voice input is processed on-device using Apple’s Speech framework. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted. Inkling does not have access to audio data beyond the current interaction.

Third-party services

Inkling uses zero third-party services, SDKs, frameworks, or APIs. The app is built entirely with Apple’s first-party frameworks.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Given our commitment to zero data collection, we do not anticipate material changes.
